Police Arrest 20 Year Old Man for Allegedly Assaulting Mother in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 20 year old man, John Mamud, for allegedly assaulting his mother at their residence in Konan Kuka, Mayo Belwa Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Monday, August 10, 2026.

According to the Command, the suspect was arrested following a complaint that he allegedly assaulted his mother.

The Commissioner of Police has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident, while the suspect is expected to be charged to court after the investigation is concluded.

The Command condemned domestic violence and urged members of the public to report cases of abuse, particularly against women and elderly persons, to the nearest police station.
