Nkpor Residents Applaud Governor Soludo Over Improved Electricity Supply

Residents of Nkpor in Idemili North Local Government Area have commended Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for the noticeable improvement in electricity supply across the community, describing the development as a major boost to businesses, households and economic activities.

The residents recalled that about two months ago, the community experienced prolonged power outages which disrupted commercial activities, affected livelihoods and made daily life difficult. They had appealed to the state government to intervene and restore stable electricity.

Speaking on the improvement, Mr. Ugochukwu Eneh described the return of steady power as a welcome development, saying it has restored normalcy to his business and daily routine. He noted that he can now preserve drinks, operate electrical appliances effectively and no longer depends on candles for lighting, adding that the rising cost of fuel had made generators too expensive to run.

Also speaking, Mrs. Uche Nicholas said her family now enjoys more comfort at home, as they can sleep peacefully at night and preserve cooked food in the refrigerator without fear of spoilage. A dry cleaner, Mr. Maxwell Ugo, explained that the prolonged blackout had nearly crippled his business, but expressed happiness that stable electricity has revived his means of livelihood.

The residents expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for his commitment to improving the welfare of Anambra people through critical infrastructure and public service delivery. They prayed for the sustenance of the improved electricity supply and urged future administrations to build on the developmental achievements being recorded across the state.
