Two Nigerians Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison for Armed Robbery in Kuwait
A court in Kuwait has sentenced two unnamed Nigerians to seven years in prison each for their involvement in an armed robbery at a money exchange office in Mahboula, in the country’s southern district.
The judgment was delivered on Monday by a court presided over by Counsellor Nasr Salem Al Haid.
According to court documents filed by the public prosecution, the two men were convicted of stealing cash and other valuables during the robbery, which occurred in January 2025.
The suspects were arrested by the Kuwait General Department of Criminal Investigation in Ahmadi Governorate following investigations into the incident.
Video footage released during the investigation reportedly showed one of the suspects, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, alighting from a white vehicle before entering the exchange office and allegedly pointing a firearm at employees during the robbery.
