Rotary DG Congratulates Anambra SSG, Nnake, On Historic Appointment

The District Governor of Rotary International, District 9142, Rtn. Chibuzor Asogwa, has congratulated the Secretary to the Anambra State Government, Hon. Chiamaka Nnake, on her emergence as the first female SSG in the history of Anambra State.

Asogwa gave the commendation when he led a delegation of Rotary District 9142 on a courtesy visit to Nnake at the Light House, Awka. He described her appointment as a significant milestone for women and evidence of the confidence reposed in her experience, capacity and record of service.

The Rotary District Governor also commended Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for recognising Nnake’s contributions as former Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning and entrusting her with greater responsibility. He expressed confidence that her organisational skills and experience would enable her to make significant impact in her new role.

Responding, Nnake appreciated the Rotary delegation for the visit, describing herself as an associate of the Rotary family. She acknowledged Rotary’s contributions to humanitarian and community development efforts in Anambra and expressed optimism that the state government would continue to maintain a strong partnership with organisations committed to improving the lives of Ndi Anambra.
