Israel Donates Ambulances, Medical Equipment to Nigeria

Nigeria’s emergency healthcare system is set for a boost as Israel has donated the first batch of ambulances, medical equipment and wheelchairs to support healthcare delivery across the country.

The items were handed over at the Port of Ashdod by Israel’s national emergency medical service, Magen David Adom, on behalf of the Israeli Government, and received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Israel, Nkechi Ufochukwu.

The consignment includes fully equipped ambulances, modern medical devices and wheelchairs expected to support hospitals, emergency centres and underserved communities, particularly in patient care and disaster response.

Receiving the donation, Ambassador Ufochukwu thanked the Israeli Government for the intervention, saying the equipment would strengthen Nigeria’s capacity to respond to medical emergencies and save lives.

The handover was witnessed by officials of Magen David Adom, the Israeli Ministry of Health and the Nigerian Embassy in Tel Aviv, as both countries continue to deepen cooperation in healthcare, humanitarian assistance and technology transfer.
