Jubilation in Kebbe as Troops Recover Rustled Cattle

There was jubilation in Asarara Kaura community in Kebbe Local Government Area of Sokoto State after troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA recovered a large herd of cattle allegedly rustled by terrorists.

The troops acted on credible intelligence that armed terrorists had invaded the community, terrorised residents and rustled a significant number of livestock.

According to the military, the troops intercepted the fleeing terrorists along the Tambuwal Gadaichi Gummi Road axis. The terrorists reportedly engaged the troops but fled into the surrounding bushes after coming under military fire, abandoning the cattle.

The recovery brought relief to residents of Asarara Kaura and neighbouring communities, who turned out in large numbers to commend the troops for their swift response.

The recovered cattle are currently in military custody and will be handed over to the Chairman of the Sokoto State Committee on the Recovery of Rustled Animals for verification and eventual return to their rightful owners.
