God’s Mercy Calls Us to Humility and Love – Imo First Lady
The First Lady of Imo State, Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, has called on Nigerians to embrace humility, patience, and love, reminding them that God’s mercy remains the foundation of human existence.
Reflecting on the Eucharistic celebration held at the Imo State Government House Chapel, where she worshipped alongside her husband, the Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, GSGI, the First Lady said the homily centered on God’s justice and mercy as illustrated in the Parable of the Weeds among the Wheat.
According to her, the message highlighted God’s patience with humanity, noting that He is slow to judge and continually offers people the opportunity to repent, transform, and become the persons He created them to be.
Barr. Uzodimma urged citizens to extend the same grace to others, stressing that everyone depends on God’s mercy. She observed that people often judge and look down on others, forgetting that all are sustained by God’s unfailing love and compassion.
She encouraged Nigerians to apply the lessons of humility, patience, and love in their daily lives, expressing optimism that these virtues would contribute to building a more united, peaceful, and prosperous Imo State and Nigeria.
