Crystal Garden Estate Residents Join Onitsha Sanitation Exercise, Champion Cleaner Environment

Residents of Crystal Garden Estate have joined the monthly environmental sanitation exercise across Onitsha Metropolis, reaffirming their commitment to promoting a cleaner and healthier environment.
The exercise, led by the Chairman of the estate, Dr. Onyekachukwu Paulinus, attracted more than 1,000 residents and volunteers who participated in sanitation activities across 3-3, Nkpor, Tarzan, Awada, Odekpe and Head Bridge.
The participants cleared refuse and cleaned public spaces as part of efforts to support the Anambra State Government’s drive towards improved environmental cleanliness and public health.
Speaking during the exercise, Dr. Paulinus said the participation of Crystal Garden Estate was a demonstration of its commitment to supporting government initiatives and encouraging residents to take responsibility for the environment.
The estate’s Managing Director, Dr. Simeon Chukwu, and Mr. Ifeanyi Orakwue, also urged residents to properly dispose of their waste and sustain the culture of cleanliness beyond the monthly exercise.
They stressed that environmental sanitation should not be viewed as a once-a-month activity, but as a continuous responsibility shared by individuals, communities and organisations.
The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Engr. Felix Chiejina, who was on ground to supervise the exercise, commended Crystal Garden Estate and the participating residents for their commitment and active support.
He encouraged residents and other stakeholders to sustain the momentum and work collectively towards keeping Onitsha clean and environmentally healthy.
