Building Collapse: Anambra Commissioner Blames Human Compromise

By Chibuzo Obidike | IchieTimes

The Anambra State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure has attributed recurring building collapses in the state to human factors, including compromised quality control and illegal construction practices.

The commissioner made this known during an interview while responding to questions about building collapse incidents and the measures being taken by the state government to ensure accountability.

He explained that the factors responsible for recent collapses were similar to those behind previous incidents, pointing to human errors, compromised construction standards and failures to follow approved building processes.

On the government’s response, the commissioner said the authorities were continuing efforts to ensure that those responsible for such incidents were held accountable.

His remarks highlight the need for strict compliance with building regulations, proper supervision of construction projects and effective quality control to prevent further tragedies.
