The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has conferred Honorary Fellowship on the Chairman of Keystone Bank Limited, Lady (Dr.) Adaora Ogochukwu Chukwudozie, in recognition of her leadership and contributions to banking, manufacturing and enterprise development.

The honour was bestowed on her at the Institute’s 2026 Fellowship Investiture held at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos, where prominent figures from the banking, business and public sectors gathered to discuss the role of financial institutions in driving Nigeria’s industrial transformation.

Speaking with journalists after the ceremony, Chukwudozie expressed appreciation to the Institute for the recognition, pledging to remain committed to service and institutional development.

She said she would continue to deploy her experience and leadership responsibilities in banking, manufacturing and enterprise to contribute to economic growth.

The investiture, with the theme, “Bank Recapitalisation: Leveraging New Bank Capital for Nigeria’s Industrial Transformation,” focused on the need to channel increased banking capital towards productive investments and sustainable economic development.

CIBN President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Dele Alabi, urged banks to translate their stronger capital positions into increased financing for productive businesses, particularly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, stressed the importance of affordable, long-term financing to support industrial expansion and enterprise growth, noting the need for sound governance and responsible lending.

Delivering the keynote address, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, Dr. Tayo Aduloju, called for increased financing of manufacturing and other productive sectors.

He also advocated stronger collaboration among banks, government and regulators to address challenges limiting industrial investment.

Other prominent recipients of the CIBN honorary fellowship included Mr. Segun Ogunsanya, Chairman of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority; Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria; and Chief Folorunsho Alakija, Vice Chairman of Famfa Oil Limited.

Also honoured were Dr. Ibrahim Stevens, Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone; Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, Secretary to the Ogun State Government; and Mr. Samuel Egube, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor.

Chukwudozie, who is also Group Managing Director of Dozzy Group and Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, South-East Branch, brings experience across the financial and manufacturing sectors.

Meanwhile, Keystone Bank said it had recorded progress in strengthening its liquidity position, expanding its deposit base and customer franchise, while improving corporate governance, risk management and digital banking services.

The bank attributed the progress to the collective efforts of its Board, Management and staff, alongside the continued confidence of its customers, adding that sustaining the gains remained central to its institutional transformation.
