ANSACA Welcomes NACA Delegation for Assessment of KP Friendly HIV Services in Anambra

The Anambra State AIDS Control Agency, ANSACA, has welcomed a delegation from the National Agency for the Control of AIDS, NACA, for a four day assessment of Key Population friendly HIV services across five selected health facilities in the state.

The exercise, scheduled for September 14 to 17, 2026, follows a Global Fund supported training of healthcare workers from the selected facilities on providing sensitive, respectful, inclusive and non discriminatory HIV services.

The assessment is aimed at determining how effectively the trained healthcare workers are applying the knowledge and skills acquired during the training.

The exercise will also identify gaps and provide technical support to improve the quality and accessibility of HIV prevention, testing, treatment and care services.

The NACA delegation will work with relevant state HIV response stakeholders, including the State AIDS and STI Control Programme, SASCP, and the State Key Population Chair.

ANSACA said the collaboration reinforces its commitment to ensuring that everyone can access quality HIV services without stigma or discrimination across Anambra State.
