NeoGold Hotel Opens in Nkpor, Adds Fresh Investment to Anambra Economy
The opening of NeoGold Hotel and Suites in Nkpor has added a new private sector investment to Anambra State, with its founder, Chief Charles Chukwunonso Ikeli, describing the project as his contribution to the development of the state.
The hospitality facility, founded by the Aguleri born industrialist popularly known as Oji Chukwu Aguleri, was officially opened during a ceremony that also marked his 47th birthday anniversary.
Located in Nkpor, the hotel provides executive and single rooms, restaurants, bars, a swimming pool and other hospitality services, creating opportunities for employment and economic activity within the area.
The traditional ruler of Aguleri, Igwe Dr Mike Idigo, who led members of his cabinet to the event, commended the investment and expressed optimism that the facility would create jobs and attract further economic opportunities.
The Anambra State Commissioner for Commerce, Mr Nonso Ebonwu, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Engr Michael Obuekwe, said the state government welcomes investments such as NeoGold Hotel and would continue to support local businesses under the administration’s vision of building a livable and prosperous homeland.
President of the Anambra State Amalgamated Traders Association, ASMATA, Chief Humphrey Anwuna, also commended Chief Ikeli for expanding his business interests and urged other successful Anambra entrepreneurs to reinvest in the state.
Chief Ikeli said the hotel was inspired by his desire to contribute to the development of Nkpor and demonstrate that private investment can play a significant role in building stronger local economies.
The opening reinforces the growing call for Ndi Anambra in business to invest at home, create jobs and contribute to the state’s economic development.
