ANSACA, JNCI Explore Partnership to Strengthen HIV Response in Anambra

The Anambra State AIDS Control Agency, ANSACA, has sought stronger partnership with JNC International Limited, JNCI, to expand HIV services and strengthen community based health interventions across the state.

The call was made on August 14 when an ANSACA delegation led by its Executive Director and Project Manager, Dr. Nkem Okeke, visited JNCI’s Abuja office to explore areas of private sector support, including HIV outreach, testing services, diagnostic commodities, training and technical assistance.

Dr. Okeke said the Anambra State Government, under Governor Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, remained committed to strengthening healthcare delivery and building sustainable health systems. He stressed that increased private sector participation was essential to sustaining the HIV response as global health financing continues to change.

He also highlighted ANSACA’s move towards integrated community health services, where HIV outreaches can incorporate health education, screening and referrals for other health conditions. The agency said collaboration with JNCI could help bring essential health services closer to communities and support the state’s goal of Zero New HIV Infections by 2030.

The meeting ended with both sides identifying opportunities for further technical collaboration, with ANSACA expressing optimism that the partnership would translate into measurable and sustainable health interventions for residents across Anambra.
