Anambra Police Sustain Intensified Security Operations Across Strategic Locations

The Anambra State Police Command says it has sustained robust security operations across strategic locations in the state as part of efforts to safeguard lives and property.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the Command remains unwavering in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities despite the prevailing weather conditions.

According to the statement, the Command on July 20, 2026, intensified its proactive policing strategy through enhanced visibility patrols, intelligence led operations, confidence building patrols, stop and search duties, and coordinated joint security operations across identified flashpoints in the state.

The Police said the operations are aimed at preventing crime, reassuring residents, responding swiftly to security threats and denying criminal elements the opportunity to operate anywhere within Anambra State.

The Commissioner of Police assured residents that the Command, in collaboration with other security agencies and relevant stakeholders, will continue to sustain proactive measures to maintain law and order and strengthen the safety of lives and property across the state.

The Command also appealed to Ndi Anambra to remain vigilant, law abiding and security conscious by promptly reporting suspicious persons, movements or activities to the nearest police station or through the Command’s emergency response channels.
