Anambra Government, Nigerian Army Strengthen Security Partnership
The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Nigerian Army as part of efforts to sustain peace, enhance public safety and create an enabling environment for development across the state.
Speaking after receiving a delegation from the Nigerian Army at the Light House, Awka, on behalf of Governor Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim, said the meeting focused on deepening security cooperation and consolidating the gains already recorded in the state’s fight against crime.

Dr. Ibezim noted that the Soludo administration recognizes security as the foundation upon which sustainable development is built, stressing that no society can achieve meaningful progress in the absence of peace and stability.
He emphasized that the partnership between the state government and the Nigerian Army reflects a shared commitment to protecting lives, securing communities and ensuring that residents continue to enjoy a safe environment.

The Deputy Governor further stated that the collaboration would strengthen ongoing security operations across Anambra and support the government’s determination to rid the state of criminal elements.
He commended the Nigerian Army and other security agencies for their dedication and sacrifices in maintaining law and order.

The Anambra State Government reiterated its resolve to continue working closely with security agencies and relevant stakeholders to sustain the prevailing peace, attract investment and promote the overall development of the state in line with Governor Soludo’s vision of a secure, livable and prosperous homeland.
