Oyedepo Warns Nigerian Youths Against Sports Betting

The Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has urged Nigerian youths to shun sports betting, warning that gambling is not a reliable path to financial success.

Speaking during a sermon on Sunday, the cleric cautioned young people against the pursuit of quick wealth through betting, saying it could waste their time, resources and future.

Oyedepo encouraged youths to embrace discipline, patience, hard work and productive ventures, stressing that genuine success may take time but is built on a solid foundation.

“Young people, Naija Bet is not the way to financial fortune. Stop wasting your destiny,” he warned.

He further advised youths not to be discouraged by slow progress, adding: “Things may be slow, but it is sure.”

His comments come amid growing concerns over the increasing popularity of sports betting among Nigerian youths and its links to financial hardship and gambling addiction.
