US Father Faces Multiple Charges For Abusing Infant Daughter

A 36-year-old father in Kentucky, United States, has been arrested after an in-home camera allegedly captured him abusing his three-month-old daughter.

According to deputies, Shaun Webb was arrested on Friday, August 21, 2026, and faces 10 felony counts of criminal abuse.

Authorities said footage allegedly showed Webb slapping the infant while she cried, holding her by the back of the head while covering her face, and repeatedly placing his hand over her mouth and nose.

Investigators said Webb allegedly told the baby to stop crying and that she would learn.

The criminal complaint further states that Webb admitted to similar conduct involving his two-year-old son when the boy was an infant.

During questioning, Webb reportedly compared children to dogs, saying they needed to be trained and have boundaries. He also allegedly told detectives that his daughter’s crying triggered him and that covering her mouth and nose was intended to stop the behaviour.

The allegations have sparked concern over the dangers of abusive disciplinary practices involving infants.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the case. Webb’s statements and the allegations against him remain matters for the court to determine.

A child cannot consent to abuse, and an infant cannot understand or respond to “discipline” through violence or deprivation of oxygen.
