Troops Of Operation Fansan Yamma Foil Terrorist Attack In Kaduna, Rescue Three In Zamfara

Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have foiled a terrorist attack in Kaduna State and rescued three kidnapped victims in Zamfara State during separate operations.
The JTF said troops of Sector 1 responded to a distress call on September 10 following terrorist activities at Unguwan Gardago Village in Kaduna North Local Government Area. According to the statement, the terrorists robbed residents of motorcycles and mobile phones before abducting a civilian to guide their escape.
The troops mounted an ambush along the terrorists’ withdrawal route and engaged them, forcing them to flee and abandon the motorcycles and other items reportedly looted from residents. During the subsequent operation, troops recovered three motorcycles, one PKT machine gun working mechanism and components of a pump action firearm.
The JTF said the abducted civilian was killed by the terrorists, with his body later recovered and handed over to his relatives.
In Zamfara, troops of Sector 2 on September 11 responded to an attack on a Canter vehicle along the Anka Gummi Road. The troops engaged the terrorists, forcing them to abandon their victims and flee, leading to the rescue of three kidnapped persons and the recovery of terrorist communication equipment.
The JTF urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to security agencies, assuring that Operation FANSAN YAMMA remains committed to protecting lives and property and disrupting terrorist networks across the Joint Operations Area.
