Otti Congratulates Adeleke, Describes Osun Election as Sign of Democratic Maturity

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re election, describing the peaceful conduct of the governorship election as a sign of Nigeria’s growing democratic maturity.

Otti, in a statement issued on Sunday, also commended the people of Osun State for peacefully exercising their franchise despite some reported irregularities.

He praised the Independent National Electoral Commission, security agencies and other stakeholders for their roles in ensuring a peaceful and credible electoral process.

The Abia governor urged Adeleke to use his second term to strengthen people centred governance, expand opportunities and sustain peace and development in Osun State.

Otti said Abia would continue to identify with Osun State in the shared pursuit of stronger democratic institutions and improved welfare for the people.
