Jealous Woman Arrested Over Alleged Killing of Co-wife’s Daughter

A woman identified as Erdoo Nancy has been arrested for allegedly killing her co wife’s daughter in Ankyoor community, Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State.

The tragic incident reportedly occurred along Makurdi Road, opposite YUA Guest House, while the child’s mother was away from home. Eyewitnesses alleged that the suspect attacked the young girl, resulting in her death.

Residents of the area reportedly prevented the suspect from escaping and handed her over to officers of the Nigeria Police Force attached to the Aliade Division for investigation.

The motive behind the alleged killing has not yet been established, while the identity and age of the deceased have not been officially disclosed.

As of the time of filing this report, the spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, DSP Udeme Edet, could not be reached to confirm the incident. Authorities are expected to provide further details as investigations continue.
