JAMB Introduces Online O’Level Upload for 2026 UTME Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced an online system allowing 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates to verify and upload their O’Level results from home.
The new service currently covers results issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), with other examination bodies expected to be included subsequently.
The development eliminates the need for candidates to visit Computer Based Test (CBT) centres to upload their results, particularly during busy admission periods.
JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said the system enables the Board to verify candidates’ results directly with WAEC before updating their JAMB profiles.
According to him, the initiative will make the process faster, safer and more convenient, while reducing cases of misplaced certificates, fraudulent results and errors associated with manual data entry.
Benjamin explained that candidates only need to access the designated result verification portal to obtain a verification code, after which JAMB will complete the process electronically.
He said the innovation aligns with the customer focused agenda of JAMB Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, to use technology to reduce unnecessary visits, queues and paperwork for Nigerian students.
