Dennis Avner, an American popularly known as “Stalking Cat,” became internationally famous for transforming his appearance to resemble a tiger through extensive body modifications.

Driven by his strong personal identification with felines, Avner underwent numerous procedures, including facial tattoos, piercings, sharpened teeth, facial implants, a split upper lip, and removable whiskers attached through facial piercings. His transformation also reflected his interest in Native American traditions, although some claims about his ancestry and motivations have never been independently verified.

Reports often claimed he spent about $200,000 on the transformation, but the figure has never been officially confirmed.

His extraordinary appearance earned him global recognition, including a place in Guinness World Records for having one of the most extensive permanent body transformations to resemble an animal.

Dennis Avner died in Nevada, United States, in 2012 at the age of 54, leaving behind one of the most remarkable and controversial stories in the history of body modification.
