ASTUC Youth Honours Four Role Models In Ekwusigo, Harps On Upholding Anambra State Values

The Anambra State Town Union Council, ASTUC Youth Wing, in its drive to honour outstanding Ndi Anambra in every local government area of the state to serve as role models for the youths of Anambra State, has honoured four role models in Ekwusigo, with a charge on them to always uphold the Anambra State core values.
Speaking during the event, the Mayor of Ekwusigo local government area, Honourable Chimezie Obi appreciated ASTUC Youths for remaining focused on the development of the state.
He explained that as a youth, he saw it fit to use his time as Mayor to show remarkable leadership by transforming the council area so as to give other young people opportunity to lead.
The President General of ASTUC, Youth wing, Comrade Ken Okoli emphasized that the core values of Anambra State, propagated by the wing are values exemplified by the selected role models which by honouring them, they are urging young people to emulate.
One of the honourees, Sir Vin Dike, from Orafite and All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA candidate for Ekwusigo, Nnewi North and South Constituency explained that the recognition is a spur for him to remain focused in making impact in leadership.
Another award recipient, Chief Anthony Ike from Ozubulu also expressed his happiness for the honour, saying it would propel him to do more while Chief Mukosolu Okosieme from Ozubulu, represented by Mr. Emmanuel Uchendu noted that the youths are the pillar of every community and would constantly make efforts to empower them.
Other award recipients include Chief Nnaemeka Onyeanusi from Ichi represented by Mr. Ejike Ohamadike and Chief Okwudili Agbodike from Ihembosi all showed their appreciation, promising to keep doing more.
