Joint Security Patrol Rescues 16 Year Old Boy Allegedly Abducted in Enugu
A joint security patrol team in Anambra State has rescued a 16 year old boy, Favour Ayogu, who was allegedly abducted in Igboeze South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The boy was rescued on September 13, 2026, after unidentified persons reportedly dropped him from a black Toyota Highlander SUV near a security checkpoint at Ekene Junction along Oguta Road, Onitsha.
The prompt response of the patrol team prevented further harm to the victim, while the Anambra State Police Command has intensified surveillance and intelligence operations to identify and arrest the suspected abductors.
The Police Command is appealing to residents of Igboeze South and Ibagwa Aka in Enugu State who may have information about the boy or his family to contact the nearest police station or the Anambra State Police Command.
The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, commended the joint patrol team for its vigilance and professionalism.
The Command assured residents and visitors of continued efforts to protect lives and property and ensure that criminal elements have no safe haven in the state.
