Maduka University Secures 100% Full NUC Accreditation for Seven Academic Programmes

Maduka University, Ekwegbe Nsukka, has achieved a significant milestone in its academic development after the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted Full Accreditation to all seven academic programmes presented during its 2025 accreditation exercise.
The accreditation exercise, conducted between October and December 2025, assessed the University’s compliance with national standards for academic quality, staffing, infrastructure, governance and learning resources.
According to the NUC’s official accreditation report, all seven programmes evaluated received Full Accreditation Status, representing a 100 per cent success rate. The accredited programmes are Accounting, Mass Communication, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Economics and International Relations.
The report showed that the programmes recorded impressive scores ranging from 84.8 per cent to 97.0 per cent, comfortably exceeding the benchmark required for Full Accreditation. None of the programmes received Interim or Denied Accreditation.
The accreditation, which is valid until 2030, affirms the University’s continued compliance with the National Universities Commission’s quality assurance standards and its commitment to delivering quality higher education.
The NUC accreditation panels also identified several strengths within the institution, including a robust academic curriculum, compliance with the Benchmark Minimum Academic Standards and Core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standards, adequate library facilities and learning resources, a conducive teaching and learning environment, effective quality assurance mechanisms and the overall institutional capacity to deliver quality university education.
Reacting to the development, the University described the achievement as a reflection of its commitment to academic excellence, institutional quality assurance and continuous improvement. It noted that the successful accreditation provides confidence to students, parents, employers and other stakeholders that its academic programmes meet nationally approved standards and are well positioned to produce graduates equipped for the demands of the modern world.
