Nigeria, Germany Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Nigeria and Germany have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations following the official visit of Germany’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Johann David Wadephul, to Abuja.

During bilateral talks, both countries pledged to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment and political relations, while Nigeria commended Germany’s continued support for the country’s development priorities, peacebuilding efforts and regional integration in West Africa.

Nigeria also reaffirmed its commitment to attracting increased German investment in key sectors, including renewable energy, critical minerals, artificial intelligence, agriculture, manufacturing, healthcare, infrastructure and the green economy.

The engagement is expected to further strengthen the longstanding partnership between Nigeria and Germany and open new opportunities for economic growth, technology transfer and sustainable development.
