Anambra Speaker Udeze Dedicates South East Outstanding Speaker Award to Ndi Anambra

The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, has dedicated his recognition as the South East Most Outstanding Speaker at the HallowMace Africa National Legislative Awards to the Government and people of Anambra State, describing the honour as a call to greater service and legislative excellence.
Speaking after receiving the prestigious award at the NAF Event Conference Centre in Abuja, Rt. Hon. Udeze said the recognition would inspire him to deepen his commitment to strengthening democratic institutions, promoting effective lawmaking, and fostering productive collaboration between the Legislature and the Executive for the benefit of the people.
The Speaker also dedicated the award to members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, acknowledging their collective efforts in advancing quality legislation and institutional reforms.
According to him, the 8th Anambra State House of Assembly has continued to distinguish itself through legislative innovations, progressive reforms, and an improved lawmaking agenda that has earned recognition beyond the state.
He reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to enacting people oriented laws and passing resolutions that will accelerate development, improve governance, and enhance the welfare of residents across Anambra State.
Rt. Hon. Udeze expressed appreciation to the organisers of the HallowMace Africa National Legislative Awards and the Conference of Speakers in Nigeria for finding him worthy of the honour.
He also thanked the people of Anambra State for their prayers, support, and encouragement throughout his leadership of the State Legislature.
Earlier, the Executive Director of HallowMace Africa, Ambassador Sunny Osiebe, said the awards were instituted to recognise lawmakers who have demonstrated exceptional performance, integrity, and dedication to public service through impactful legislative leadership.
He noted that Rt. Hon. Udeze emerged as one of the distinguished recipients based on his contributions to legislative development and effective representation.
The recognition has continued to attract commendations from many residents and stakeholders in Anambra State, who described the award as a deserving honour and a reflection of the Speaker’s leadership, commitment, and contributions to the growth of the State House of Assembly.
