Senator Uche Lilian Ekwunife, the APC candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District in the 2027 general elections, has urged voters to assess her record of service and verifiable achievements rather than political sentiments.
Ekwunife made the appeal during a visit to Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area on Monday, where she said she received a warm welcome from community leaders and stakeholders who acknowledged her contributions to the area.

She expressed appreciation for the reception and the recognition of her interventions, describing them as motivation to do more for the people.
According to the senator, community leaders in Enugwu-Ukwu highlighted several projects and interventions attributed to her, including market stalls, three access roads, two erosion control projects, business grants to more than 50 beneficiaries and employment opportunities for graduates.
She said such interventions should form part of voters’ considerations when assessing political leadership, arguing that elections should be guided by performance, experience and the capacity to deliver meaningful development.

“Vote me on account of my achievements, not sentiments,” she declared, urging residents to look beyond political distractions and empty promises.
Ekwunife also called on voters to critically assess the policies and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, citing infrastructure development, efforts to stabilise the foreign exchange market and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund as areas for public evaluation.
She acknowledged that voters have the constitutional right to support candidates of their choice but maintained that political decisions should be guided by conviction, performance and the collective interest of the people.
As she seeks another mandate to represent Anambra Central in the Senate, Ekwunife pointed to her legislative experience, national political connections and commitment to grassroots development as qualities she believes would support her bid.
She urged voters across the senatorial district to compare candidates’ records and assess the tangible projects and interventions each can demonstrate.
Ekwunife reaffirmed her commitment to effective representation, community development, economic empowerment and expanding opportunities for residents.
