Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has announced the commencement of online applications for supplementary admission into 126 undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The announcement was contained in a publication issued by the Office of the Registrar and Secretary to the Senate of the institution, signed by the Registrar, Dr Chinenye Okeke.

According to the notice, the online application commenced on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, and will close on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

The supplementary admission is open to prospective UTME candidates who successfully registered for the university’s Post-UTME screening and wish to apply for programmes listed in the announcement.

The university stated that the opportunity was strictly for candidates who had not already been admitted into any department of the institution. It added that intra-university transfer would only be possible after two years of study.

The listed programmes cut across several disciplines, including Accounting, Broadcasting, Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, Medicine and Surgery, Nursing, Law-related fields, Environmental Management, Mass Communication, Education, Agriculture and the Sciences.

The institution advised successful applicants to regularly check the transfer approval panel on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s Central Admissions Processing System (JAMB CAPS) and promptly accept any transfer offer posted there.

Candidates were also directed to ensure that their O’Level results were properly uploaded to JAMB CAPS to facilitate the processing of their admission. The university further explained that applicants should log into the admission portal, select eligible programmes, make the required payment and regularly monitor their JAMB CAPS accounts for transfer offers.
