PSC Outlines Next Steps for 50,000 Successful Police Constable Applicants

The Police Service Commission, PSC, has released important guidelines for the 50,000 successful applicants recruited into the Nigeria Police Force, urging them to prepare for the next stage of the exercise.

According to the Commission, the recruitment was conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, State Career and Counselling Departments and the Police Community Relations Committee to ensure transparency and compliance with the federal character principle.

The PSC advised successful candidates to verify their names on the official recruitment portal and monitor their email addresses and telephone numbers for further instructions on reporting to their designated Police Training Institutions.

Upon resumption, candidates will undergo medical screening, documentation, verification of credentials and basic police training. They are expected to report with their call up slip, National Identification Number, NIN slip, Bank Verification Number, BVN slip, original academic certificates and photocopies of all relevant documents.

The Commission warned that candidates who fail to report within the stipulated period or are declared medically unfit risk losing their appointments. It also directed applicants to report in white T shirts, white shorts and white canvas shoes, while urging them to ignore fraudsters demanding money, insisting that the recruitment exercise was conducted strictly on merit.
