Peter Obi Unveils Education, Industrialisation Agenda

Peter Obi has outlined his vision for a productive and prosperous Nigeria, pledging far reaching reforms in education, healthcare, industrialisation, and human capital development if elected president in 2027.

In a statement marking the beginning of the new month, Obi said his administration would focus on national unity, inclusive governance, social justice, and economic transformation. He noted that his proposed roadmap is designed to improve the quality of life of Nigerians, strengthen public institutions, and promote sustainable development across the country.

The former governor of Anambra State said education and healthcare would receive priority attention, describing human capital as the foundation for national progress. He announced plans to establish a task force to significantly reduce the number of out of school children and improve access to quality education nationwide.

Obi also pledged to strengthen Technical and Vocational Education and Training to support industrialisation, agricultural value addition, and job creation. He said the programme would involve partnerships between government, the private sector, and faith based educational institutions to equip young Nigerians with practical skills through apprenticeship opportunities modeled after Germany’s dual education system.

He further stated that his administration would promote character and civic education to encourage responsible leadership, trust, and shared national values, expressing confidence that the proposed reforms would lay the foundation for a more united and prosperous Nigeria.
