Nawfia Women Honour Anambra SSG, Nnake With Excellence Award

The Secretary to the Anambra State Government, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, has received an Award of Excellence from the Nawfia Home and Abroad Women Wing in recognition of her outstanding service and contributions to society.
The award was presented during the launch of the association’s uniform and recognition of distinguished sons and daughters of Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area. The women described Mrs. Nnake as a worthy role model whose outstanding character earned her the distinction of becoming the first woman to serve as Anambra State’s Secretary to the State Government.
President General of the Nawfia Progressive Union Women Wing, Evangelist Georgina Mbaonu, said the event was aimed at promoting peace, unity and togetherness among women, while encouraging them to support one another and uphold family values through proper parenting and moral guidance.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the occasion, Prince Damian Amobi, and the President General of the Nawfia Progressive Union, Chief Daniel Okoye Okongwu, praised the women for their vital role in community development. They urged them to remain united and continue promoting peace, good morals and sustainable development in Nawfia.
Chairman of the Planning Committee, Barrister Chiago Jonny Obineme, called on the women to remain committed to the progress of the community through prayers and responsible leadership. The event featured the presentation of awards to Mrs. Nnake, former Women Wing President General Lady Franca Nwigbo and other distinguished indigenes.
