Man Rejects Political Influence of Rice, Beans Gift, Says He Won’t Vote Tinubu in 2027

A northern Nigerian man has reportedly declared that receiving bags of rice and beans from a supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not influence his voting decision in the 2027 presidential election.

In a viral video, the man expressed appreciation to the individual who gave him the food items but maintained that he would not vote for Tinubu.

“I really appreciate him, but I won’t vote for Tinubu in the 2027 election. I will vote for the right candidate,” he reportedly said.

The man was seen displaying the bags of rice and beans while insisting that accepting material assistance did not amount to political loyalty or an obligation to support a particular candidate.

His remarks have drawn attention to voter independence, political generosity and the place of material gifts in electoral campaigns ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general election.
