Delta Police Spokesman Left Surprised as Suspects Request Photo After Arrest

The spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, has expressed surprise after two suspects arrested with firearms and suspected cocaine requested to take a photograph with him shortly after being interrogated.

The suspects, identified as Omini Ezeri, 46, and Chinedum Wagbara, 42, were arrested during a stop and search operation along the Agbarho Warri Road while travelling in a Mercedes Benz ML SUV with registration number AAA 604 JZ.

According to the police, a search of the vehicle led to the recovery of two Beretta pistols, a substance suspected to be cocaine and a dagger.

The suspects are currently in police custody while investigations continue into the case.

Following their arrest, SP Edafe personally questioned the suspects, as is his practice in several high profile cases.

However, in an unexpected twist, the suspects reportedly requested a photograph with the police spokesman after the interview, leaving him visibly astonished.

Reacting to the incident in a post on his social media page, Edafe wrote:

> “I have not seen this kind of people before. Caught with cocaine and two pistols, which they claim they use for the drug business. But they got carried away when they saw that I wanted to interview them. They even asked for a picture after the interview.”

The unusual encounter has since attracted widespread reactions on social media, with many users expressing disbelief at the suspects’ request despite the serious allegations against them.

Police say investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be charged in accordance with the law upon conclusion of the investigation.
