Bizarre? Ekiti driver borrows N3.5m to campaign for Tinubu, Others
An Ado-Ekiti-born mini-truck driver, Adeleye Adeniyi, has said he borrowed N3.5m to support the re-election bids of President Bola Tinubu, Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele and Ekiti State House of Assembly member, Steve Fatoba.
Adeniyi, popularly known as “Online Loan Man for BAO”, disclosed this in an interview with journalists in which he displayed a Wema Bank cardboard cheque indicating N2m for Tinubu, N1m for Bamidele and N500,000 for Fatoba.
He said he was prepared to campaign for the three politicians ahead of the forthcoming elections, citing what he described as their performance in office.
“I am supporting Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his second-term ambition. I have borrowed money. I want to use this money to support him because he’s doing a very great job,” he said.
Adeniyi also pledged to campaign for Tinubu, adding, “Like I said again, I am fully ready to go out to campaign for him. And I’m going to use this song to back him up. On your mandate, we shall stand.”
He appealed to Nigerians to vote for Tinubu, Bamidele and Fatoba, saying he believed the President would deliver more benefits if re-elected.
“I will appeal to my fellow Nigerians that we should demonstrate love by giving him, by voting him for his second term in office, because we are still going to see much more, more than what we have received,” he said.
