Apapa Customs Records ₦323bn July Revenue, Sets New Monthly Target

The Nigeria Customs Service, Apapa Area Command, has recorded a historic ₦323 billion revenue collection in July 2026, the highest monthly revenue ever generated by the Command.

The record performance was disclosed in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs Isah Suleiman, who attributed the feat to improved compliance, operational efficiency, sustained reforms and greater stability in the foreign exchange market.

The Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Babatunde Oshoba, identified the improved performance of the B’Odogwu digital platform, One Stop Shop initiative and Authorised Economic Operator framework as key drivers of the revenue increase.

He said the AEO framework, which currently has more than 200 beneficiaries, had significantly contributed to the Command’s revenue performance.

Oshoba also linked the improved revenue collection to a more predictable foreign exchange environment, saying it had enabled importers and other legitimate businesses to plan better and make informed trading decisions.

The CAC commended Customs officers and compliant stakeholders for the achievement, while directing officers to maintain professionalism and ensure prompt resolution of disputes involving members of the business community.

He described the ₦323 billion July collection as a new benchmark, urging personnel to build on the achievement as the year progresses.
