Adamawa: Operation Hadin Kai Dislodges Boko Haram, ISWAP Camp
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with the Office of the National Security Adviser Tactical Team, have launched a major offensive against Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in the Kopre Mountain area of Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State.

The operation, carried out in the early hours of August 27, 2026, followed credible intelligence on the location of the terrorists’ camp and was also aimed at rescuing victims abducted from Mussa community and Lassa school.

In fierce encounters with the terrorists, over 21 fighters were neutralised, while several others reportedly escaped with gunshot wounds.

The joint force subsequently took control of the area, dismantled the terrorist camp and destroyed its logistics infrastructure, dealing a major blow to the group’s operational capacity in the axis.

Search and rescue operations are continuing as security forces intensify efforts to locate and rescue the remaining abductees.
