The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) is set to honour JEZCO Lubricants with two awards in recognition of the company’s commitment to product quality and compliance with manufacturing standards.

The awards, scheduled for presentation on Thursday, October 22, 2026, include the Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP) and the National Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme, according to information provided by the company.

The General Manager of JEZCO Oil Nigeria Limited, Makuochukwu Ezeokonkwo, disclosed this during the 2026 World Standards Day Walk for Standards, explaining that the recognition reflects the company’s record of compliance and its contributions to industry, trade and investment.

Ezeokonkwo said JEZCO Lubricants was being recognised in the over 10 years category, highlighting the company’s sustained commitment to maintaining standards in its production processes.

In a keynote address delivered on behalf of SON’s Director General and Chief Executive, Dr Ifeanyi Okeke, the Anambra State Director of the organisation, Gabriel Agafe, said the event was organised to sensitise manufacturers and the public to the importance of standards in production.

Agafe also commended Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, for creating an enabling environment for business and commercial activities in the state.

Also speaking, Dr Amaka Ezeokafor, a staff member of JEZCO Oil Nigeria Limited, attributed the company’s awards to its commitment to integrity in production.

She said the company also applied its guiding principle, “Truth is the way to success,” in selecting its distributors.

The 2026 World Standards Day Walk for Standards was held under the theme, “Shared Vision for a Better World: Spotlight on SDG 7, Affordable Energy,” drawing attention to the role of standards in supporting quality, safety, sustainable development and access to reliable energy.

The planned recognition places renewed emphasis on the importance of manufacturing standards in protecting consumers, strengthening confidence in locally produced goods and supporting industrial development.
