Police Seek Help to Reunite Four Year Old Boy Found Wandering in Okpoko

By Chibuzo Obidike

The Anambra State Police Command is appealing to the public to help identify and reunite a four year old boy, who gave his name as Ifedimma Emmanuel, with his family.

The child was found wandering along Anatanaba Road, Okpoko, on the evening of September 18, 2026, by a joint security patrol comprising police operatives from Okpoko Police Division and members of the Okpoko Vigilante Group.

Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the boy was unable to provide enough information about his parents, guardians or home address that could assist the authorities in locating his family.

The child is currently in the safe custody of the police, where his welfare and safety are being attended to while efforts continue to trace his relatives.

The command is therefore urging parents, guardians, relatives and residents who may recognise the boy or have useful information about his identity and family to contact Okpoko Police Division or the Anambra State Police Command in Awka.

The police assured the public that the child’s safety remains a priority and that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure his safe and timely reunion with his family.

If you recognise this child, please share this story. Someone may be looking for him.
