Troops Arrest Suspected Drug Peddler, Rescue Two Kidnap Victims in Kaduna, Sokoto
Troops of Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have arrested a suspected drug peddler in Kaduna State, while foiling a terrorist attack and rescuing two kidnapped victims in Sokoto State.
The operations, conducted on September 12 and 13, followed intensified military efforts to tackle terrorism and criminal activities across the North West.

In Kaduna, troops intercepted a suspect, Yohana Musa, during a stop and search operation along the Kaduna Birnin Gwari road and recovered a large quantity of illicit drugs and substances.
In Sokoto, troops responded to a terrorist attack at Unguwan Lalle in Sabon Birni Local Government Area, engaging the attackers and forcing them to withdraw while rescuing two kidnapped victims.

A subsequent military operation against a terrorist regrouping attempt led to another gun battle, with troops recovering 157 rounds of PKT ammunition, phone batteries and other items.
The military has urged members of the public to continue providing credible and timely information to security forces.
