25-Year-Old Zambian Model Dies After Night Out With Friends, Police Launch Investigation

A 25-year-old Zambian model and socialite, Lisa Mutambo, has died in Lusaka after reportedly becoming ill and losing consciousness shortly after returning home from a night out with friends.

Lisa reportedly spent the evening with two female friends at a hotel where she served as an ambassador before the trio moved to another drinking spot around 10:30pm.

Police said Lisa was later picked up by her boyfriend, identified as Caleb Lisa, also known as Andrea, who dropped off her two friends before proceeding with Lisa to their residence in the Kalundu area.

According to police, Lisa began vomiting after arriving home before suddenly becoming unconscious.

Her boyfriend reportedly sought assistance from a friend, who helped transport her to Victoria Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Her death was reported to police at about 9:30am, with officers subsequently processing the scenes connected to the incident.

Police said no visible physical injuries were found on Lisa’s body, contradicting earlier social media claims that she had allegedly been beaten to death by her boyfriend.

Her body was initially deposited at FSG Mortuary before being transferred to the University Teaching Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination.

An inquiry file has been opened as police continue investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the young model’s sudden death.

What caused Lisa Mutambo’s sudden death? The postmortem and ongoing police investigation are expected to provide answers.
