Anambra Reaffirms Commitment to Industrial Energy Solutions at MAN South East Symposium
The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to providing sustainable energy solutions that will drive industrial growth and economic development across the state.
Speaking on behalf of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, declared open the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) South East Industrial Energy Solutions and Investment Symposium, describing the event as timely and strategic.
Mrs. Nnake noted that rising energy costs remain one of the biggest challenges confronting manufacturers, affecting productivity, competitiveness, and business expansion. She said the symposium provided a valuable platform for stakeholders to identify practical and innovative solutions to the region’s industrial energy needs.
She commended the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria and the MAN Power Development Company Limited (MPDCL) for introducing the Industrial Energy Adoption Programme, an initiative designed to connect manufacturers with government agencies, regulators, technology providers, engineering partners, and financial institutions to improve access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy.
According to the SSG, the Soludo administration remains committed to industrialisation through investor friendly policies, strategic partnerships, and initiatives that promote innovation, enterprise development, and inclusive economic growth. She stressed that reliable and affordable energy is critical to boosting industrial productivity, attracting investments, creating jobs, and improving the competitiveness of local industries.
The symposium brought together government officials, regulatory agencies, financial institutions, technology providers, development partners, and manufacturers to explore collaborative strategies for reducing industrial energy costs across the South East.
A major highlight of the event was the unveiling of the MPDCL Industrial Energy Adoption Programme, alongside technical presentations on emerging energy technologies, financing options, regulatory frameworks, and practical implementation models for manufacturers.
Mrs. Nnake reaffirmed the Anambra State Government’s support for initiatives that align with Governor Soludo’s vision of making Anambra Nigeria’s preferred destination for investment, industrialisation, and sustainable economic prosperity.
