President Tinubu Hosts NBA President-Elect, Okusanya
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received the President elect of the Nigerian Bar Association, Oyinkansola Badejo Okusanya (SAN), at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, ahead of her official inauguration next month.
The visit comes days after Badejo Okusanya made history by emerging as the first woman elected President of the Nigerian Bar Association. She is set to become the association’s 33rd President and only the second woman to lead the NBA after Priscilla Kuye, who served from 1991 to 1992.

She was accompanied by senior members of the legal profession, including Foluke Dada Lawanson, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Caleb University; Ezinwa Okoroafor, President of FIDA Nigeria; Hadiza Afegbua of the NBA Women Forum; and Ramlat Ridhwan of the BBold campaign team.
Badejo Okusanya will formally assume office from the outgoing NBA President, Afam Osigwe, during the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference in Enugu, where she will begin her two year tenure as President of the country’s foremost legal association.
Her election is widely regarded as a significant milestone for women’s representation and leadership in Nigeria’s legal profession.
