Prophetess Sparks Reactions After Describing Late Mother-in-Law as “Wicked Witch”

A woman identified as Prophetess Ezinne MaryJane Nwanorue has sparked reactions online following controversial comments about her late mother-in-law, Comfort Chika Nwanorue.

In a post shared on her Facebook page, the prophetess allegedly described the deceased as a “wicked witch” and said she should “rest in hell with other dead witches.”

She further claimed that some individuals had attempted to destroy her destiny after discovering what she described as her divine purpose, adding that she believed God had helped her overcome the challenges and brought her into what she called her “season of manifestation.”

Speaking from what she described as her position as a servant of God, the prophetess also called on people she accused of being witches, wizards and evil doers to repent and accept Christ, warning that those who refused would face divine judgment.

However, her claims have raised important questions among social media users. How did she arrive at the conclusion that her late mother-in-law was a witch? What evidence supports the allegation? Was the deceased ever confronted with these accusations while she was alive, or given an opportunity to respond?

Questions have also been raised about whether publicly condemning a deceased person to hell and labelling her a witch is consistent with the Christian values of love, forgiveness, compassion and leaving final judgment to God.
