ASMATA President General Commends Soludo’s Healthcare Reforms, Lauds Free Medical Outreach
The President General of the Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association, ASMATA, Chief Humphrey Anuna, has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his commitment to improving healthcare delivery across the state, particularly through the recruitment of qualified health professionals.
Chief Anuna gave the commendation while participating in the ongoing five day free medical outreach at Ogbo Ogwu Bridge Head Market, Onitsha, where he received medical attention alongside other traders.
He described the market clinic as a lifesaving initiative capable of providing prompt medical care during emergencies and praised the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of Ogbo Ogwu Bridge Head Market, Mr. Ndubuisi Chukwuleta, and his team for organizing the free medical outreach.
The ASMATA President General urged traders to take advantage of the free healthcare services, emphasizing that regular medical checkups are essential for early detection and treatment of illnesses. He reiterated that good health remains the foundation of productivity and economic growth.
The outreach featured free medical consultations, laboratory tests, blood pressure and malaria screening, eye examinations and the distribution of medications, with Chief Anuna expressing satisfaction over the quality of services provided by the medical team.
