15 Brigade Dismantles Three IPOB/ESN Camps, Recovers Arms, Explosives in Anambra
Troops of the newly established 15 Brigade Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the DSS and Agunechemba Vigilante Group, have dismantled three suspected IPOB/ESN camps in Osuakwa, along the Ihiala and Ogbaru boundary in Anambra State.
The operation, conducted on Saturday, August 15, followed intelligence on the activities of suspected members of the group. Troops reportedly encountered resistance during the dawn raid but overran the camps after a firefight.

The Army said three suspected IPOB/ESN members were neutralised, while one suspected member, identified as Chijioke, and two other suspected accomplices were arrested.
Recovered items included an FN rifle with 10 rounds of ammunition, a pump action shotgun with five cartridges, 15 sticks of dynamite, four motorcycles, batteries and communication equipment.

Six children were also found in the company of the suspects during the operation.
The Brigade Commander commended the troops and collaborating security agencies for the operation, assuring residents that intelligence led operations would continue to disrupt criminal networks and strengthen security across Anambra and the South East.
