Njikoka Mayor Announces Six Initial Appointments

The Mayor of Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, Dr. Ikechukwu Okakpu, has approved the appointment of six individuals to key positions within the Local Government Council.

The appointments are Ikechukwu Ezeabalu as Chief of Staff to the Mayor; Anthony Otue as Secretary General of Njikoka Local Government Council; Okechukwu Anyichie as Chief Security Officer; and Chidolue Nwankwo as Chief Press Secretary to the Mayor.

Others appointed are Franklin Udeagu as Senior Special Assistant to the Mayor and Ugochukwu Aniagor as Special Assistant to the Office of the Deputy Mayor.

According to the Council, the appointments are aimed at strengthening administrative coordination, security, strategic communication, executive support and effective service delivery across Njikoka Local Government Area.

The Mayor congratulated the appointees and charged them to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, dedication, professionalism, accountability and commitment to public service. He also called on them to work with Council leadership and staff, traditional institutions, community leaders, stakeholders and residents towards building a responsive, peaceful, inclusive and development oriented local government.
