Dunamis International Gospel Centre, led by Senior Pastors Dr Paul Enenche and Dr Becky Enenche, has commissioned a pedestrian bridge constructed along the busy Airport Road in Abuja, near the church’s headquarters, the Glory Dome.
The bridge was built by the church to improve pedestrian safety and address concerns over frequent fatal accidents along the road corridor.
Speaking at Friday’s commissioning, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, commended Dunamis for investing in infrastructure that provides benefits beyond its immediate congregation.
Wike announced that the FCT Administration would reimburse the church 50 per cent of the total construction cost.
He explained that although the church submitted its application for approval in 2018, the request was brought to his attention in February 2026. According to him, approval was subsequently granted within a month.
In his remarks, Pastor Paul Enenche said the project reflected the church’s commitment to demonstrating Christian love through practical service and initiatives that improve lives beyond the pulpit.
The church also disclosed plans to enhance the bridge with protective coverings, security lighting and transparent side panels to improve safety and convenience for users.

The project is expected to provide pedestrians with a safer crossing point along one of Abuja’s busy road corridors.
