Abducted Oyo Pupils, Teachers Regain Freedom
The pupils and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State have regained their freedom following efforts by security agencies.
The development was announced on Friday by the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a post on his X account.

Onanuga disclosed that all the kidnapped pupils and teachers had been rescued by security operatives.
According to him, one of the rescued teachers expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and the security agencies for securing their freedom.

The victims were abducted earlier this week in Oriire Local Government Area, sparking concerns over the safety of pupils and teachers in the state.
Authorities are yet to release further details on the rescue operation or whether any suspects have been arrested.

The successful rescue adds to ongoing efforts by security agencies to combat kidnapping and improve security across the country.
