Cannabis Farm Hidden in Lagos Home: Police Discover Indoor Cultivation Operation

By Chibuzo Obidike | IchieTimes

A residential property in Lagos has become the centre of a police investigation after officers uncovered a room allegedly turned into an indoor cannabis farm.

Footage from the operation showed cannabis plants growing in cups inside a controlled environment, with reports indicating that the plants could take at least three months to mature before harvest.

A man linked to the property told investigators that he gave a foreign national access to the room because the individual was reportedly stranded in Nigeria and needed assistance returning home.

He claimed the foreign national introduced the idea of growing cannabis and insisted that he was not involved for financial gain.

According to his account, the alleged operation was exposed when the foreign national attempted to sell the cultivated plants.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police described the discovery as another success in the command’s campaign against drug abuse and trafficking.

The police have urged residents to be alert to suspicious activities in their communities and report them to security agencies.
